John M.
Founding Member of Motor City Ghost Hunters, Team Leader, Lead Investigator
Departments:  astrology and crystals - Blessings, smudging and removal - Location scout for new investigations - Group promotion and Public relations - Website - Forums
John is married, has 3 grown children and has been the owner of a State Licensed and Certified Indoor Air Quality company since 1987. He is referred by over 480+ of S/E Michigan's top HVAC Contractors to resolve indoor air quality issues. John's company utilizes the most precise and up-to-date equipment available today for detection and documentation of air quality issues and concerns. From particle  counters to CSI UV detection lights, John brings all of his knowledge and equipment to paranormal investigations in order to scientifically decipher fact from fiction.
John has been involved in the paranormal from a very young age, with too many personal experiences not to be drawn into investigating the paranormal. And with his business he is brought to many locations "with a past" and sometimes is asked for advice about unexplained happenings. Also for 20 years, John's hobby and job as a mobile DJ took him to many well-known places such as the old Botsford Inn, Henry Ford Estate, Greenfield Village, Fox & Hounds, and the old Holly Hotel, and has seen many phenomena over the years.
John's credentials are: licensed Mechanical Contractor in Michigan, Certified Microbial Pest Management, also a graduate of Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts and FCC Certified in On-Air Engineering.
John believes nobody should live in fear of their home or work, and he believes children are the group's first priority. No child should live in fear of the boogeyman.

Eileen T.
Founding Member of Motor City Ghost Hunters, Lead Investigator,
Departments: Research and Group Historian
Lead Investigators Curt and Eileen have been together for over 25 years.  While Curt is pretty much a non-believer but finds the paranormal very interesting, Eileen has experienced some things which have given her a real insight into the other side.  Curt has his degree from the state of North Carolina, and presently serves as a supervisor in operations for a large department.  Eileen worked for U of M Health Systems as a pharmacy technician and is now employed as a clinical service representative for a major health system.  Throughout their travels and investigations from historical sites to ghost towns, to museums and a few private homes, they have the belief that the paranormal does not exist in a dwelling unless the evidence proves otherwise!

Ken is married and has 2 little girls. His wife Jane, is also a member and helps out whenever needed. Ken has been doing injection molding (plastics) for 13 years.  His interest in the paranormal began as a little boy with unexplained, sounds, voices, and sightings. For a long time he has wanted to do investigations and when he stumbled across the MCGH web site and saw they were recruiting he jumped at the chance. He loves investigating and trying to prove whether a place is haunted or not by the evidence he gets. He hopes his investigations will help families solve their own unexplained happenings.

Jane
Researcher in training
Departments: Internet research
I have been married to Ken ( June Bug )
since August 2001 . Growing up I have always had an interest in the unknown and unexplained. There have been a few questionable experiences in my life. I do believe in spirits. I first learned about MCGH through my husband. I am a wizz on the internet in researching anything that needs to be found. Through my husband's enthusiasm i became very interested. And while in a wheelchair I am very happy to to put my internet skills to work to help anyway I can. I know MCGH has a very big heart and their main objective is to simply investigate, find proof, debunk, and most importantly to help people with their "spiritual overload". I am very proud to be a member of MCGH .

I am single and have been interested in the paranormal for 25 years, watching shows back in the early 80's, like "In Search Of" and "That's Incredible". Back in 2000 I got passionate in the paranormal with a radio show by a paranormal investigator and demonlogist Lou Gentile. Also in 2000 I was hooked with a show called "The Scariest Places On Earth." I have a BA in communications from Saginaw Valley and a radio degree from Specs Howard. I hope I can provide a sense of professionalism to this group and to help people with understanding the paranormal.

Kellie
Investigator
Departments: Legal and Technical

I’m open minded and a true believer but with a scientific nature which forces me to approach everything as a skeptic. I have bachelors in social science and currently work as a paralegal to a local law firm, also providing simple tech support as well as performing some accountant and office manager duties. Since a child I’ve been fascinated by the paranormal and have had numerous experiences. I joined the group to be more involved in one of my true loves (the paranormal), to try and find answers to what I’ve experienced and to help other as I was once afraid as well.

Teri
Investigator
Departments: Technical & AV
In order to try to understand the unexplainable things I've experiences since I was a kid, I have been doing independent paranormal studies most of my adult life.

I, too, am a Specs Howard graduate, anxious to offer 10 years experience as a public access television, audio/video producer and editor, in order to add technical support to the Motor City Ghost Hunters investigation team.

As a former newspaper reporter I am excited to use my trained objectivity and research skills, compounded with the physical scientific research conducted by MCGH paranormal investigations, in order help others who might be experiencing difficulty in their lives with unexplained occurrences, and to better understand my own past events.

Cathy K.
Lead Investigator
Departments: Technical & AV, Public Relations: Twitter, Facebook & MySpace, Pre investigations/Interviews, Reveals, Client Reports
I like to refer to myself as a skeptically believer.  Having grown up with religion in my life, I find it hard to reconcile understanding an unexplainable force, such as God, and not be open to other “unexplainable” forces.  At the same time, I also believe that there is frequently a logical explanation for a lot of things that happen, and that’s where we come in.  I am excited to be a part of a group that focuses on helping others cope with their paranormal experiences, whether it be us debunking or validating said experiences.

I hope to use my video production skills from six years of public access television experience to add some technical support to the team, as well as researching, interviewing, and writing skills developed during my previous job as a newspaper reporter.  Nowadays, I spend my time in the classroom, having recently received my teacher certification.  Sometimes it is hard to say which is more frightening – the paranormal or my high school students! All joking aside, kids are a priority to me and my goal is to help those, especially children, understand the paranormal going on around them.

Tom
Investigator
Departments:
Pre Investigation and Reveals,Tech Dept.
I am a married father of one, and a retired auto worker, who has had a fascination with the history of old homes and buildings, and the paranormal, since childhood.  One aspect of paranormal investigating that I find the most interesting is going into attics, basements and other areas that the general public doesn't normally get to see.  The best part, though, is finding evidence (especially EVPs) and helping our clients. MCGH has given me the opportunity to spend time, ideas, and thoughts with people who have the same interests. My goal in paranormal investigating is helping our clients feel safe and secure in their lives and homes.

Chris H.
Investigator
Departments:Tech Dept, Experimental Devices
I grew up on “in search of.” I have always had a healthy interest in the paranormal.  In elementary school, I formed a club where we dabbled in ESP experiments.  I have never had the definitive first-hand experience that changed my life or belief system, but I welcome it, if and when it comes.   I majored in Psychology at OU.  My intention was to do research, so I concentrated heavily on statistics and scientific methodology.   I was an active participant in several studies, both administering tests and processing/analyzing results.
I approach each investigation objectively, with no personal bias.  I feel that we at Motor City Ghost Hunters are as proud of what we don’t find as what we do.  All information that is gathered furthers our understanding.  To borrow another catch phrase, “the truth is out there.”  Professionally, I am a mechanical contractor.  I use the tools and experience in this trade  to examine the unique environmental factors that impact an investigation.

Terri and Mark B.
Investigators
Departments: Website, Reveals,
Experimental Devices,Web Site,Tech Dept
Mark and Terri were married for almost two years before they discovered that they each shared a desire to study the paranormal and each had experiences in the past that could not be explained. Starting with a few investigations in Gettysburg, it sparked an interest that soon grew into a passion. Always looking for the latest in audio/visual and environmental electronics, they both work hard to see if they can make any progress in answering some of history’s oldest questions.
Mark is a truck driver by day and a certified techie by night. Terri is both a full time IT technician and full time mother. They both agree that with a teenager at home, there isn’t much left that can scare them.
